Daily Fanart: Dean from "Live Free Or Twi-hard"

Got very creative with this one to not only crop out the ugly logo, but black out fuzzy Sam on the left side (only 'cause it was distracting having that blurry blob there).

Usual rules apply: :: No hotlinking :: Please credit me if you take/use/re-post :: Comments would be so nice! :D

Dean looked over his shoulder at his brother, no longer seeing the ghastly monster that was there a second ago. It was down to the last few hours. They'd find a way to save him, right? At least he wanted Sam to keep believing that.

What do you think? A little idea I had - write a mini-fic for a cap. It's not even a Drabble. :P
Life is about to get very busy...in so many ways. Really hoping to start posting my VanCon photos later today. It's time to get them out in the world. But first...sleep.
Have a good Saturday folks. *hugs*

VanCon 2012 Photos: Kim Rhodes

A month after the convention and I'm finally ready to start posting my photos. :P
Hey, these things take time. Hopefully you'll think of these photos as a fine wine, worthy of the time it takes to perfect.

NOTE: If you're looking for my thoughts about the panels, you'll sadly be disappointed. I've learned that you either pay close attention to the guests (sometimes taking notes or Tweeting) or you take photos. You can't do both. It's impossible. At least I can't. So my memories of the panels is foggy at best. I'll have to watch videos shot by others to refresh my own memory. :P

Kim had the unfortunate fate of being the first guest on Friday and thus, my first photography victim. Friday is always tough because you have to get used to the lighting and figure out which settings work best. This meant that most of my pics of Kim were taken with a flash, which I would eventually give up with later guests. Unfortunately, the flash totally blacked out the background. Yuck. So I apologize for the quality of these pics. I promise they'll get better as we go through the days and guests.

I'm so glad Kim was invited the con. She's a hoot! :D

After botching the photos of Kim with my flash, I think I did better with Steve's panel. A few were taken with flash, but most were taken without, enabling the background curtain and lights to shine through. I hadn't seen Steven since the first VanCon back in 2009 and I must admit my perception of him changed during this year's panel. Steve pointed out how he was raised to be a gentleman and hold open doors for women, etc. That really impressed me and I can see why Jensen is friends with him. I also admire how many projects he takes on and how much he enjoys what he does. :)

Walking: Day 45 of 2012

Got my walk done late today, just as the sun was starting to set, in fact. Phew!

Good temperature - in the low 60s by the time I got out there. Took a different route in the neighborhood across the street from ours, which I have haven't been to since before VanCon. You get a nice view of the valley and Mt. Rainier from there. *g* My weight is holding and it's unlikely I'll be able to walk during the week for a while, so weekends are it. Hopefully it'll be enough to lose a few more pounds.

Stats from MapMyWalk.com:

There's always a big problem when people wear all black against a black curtain. The camera tends to go, "Yikes!". So these probably aren't the best photos, but I did what I could. Everyone says the same thing about Julian...he's not like Death at all. So true. I really enjoyed his stories though.
